Adapted from British war correspondent Wynford Vaughan-Thomas’s book Anzio, and directed by Edward Dmytryk and Duilio Coletti. We also find the time to fit in a mention of Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan and the 1943 cartoon Stop That Tank along the way!
